Kick Panels

The original vehicle kick panels are shown in the following images.

These will be replaced by Q-Logic Q-Form kick panels.  The Q-Forms will be improved by spraying the rear of the panel with Rockford Fosgate Dead Skin sound deadener.  If this precaution is not taken, the kick panels will sound tinny due to their thin plastic construction..

The Q-Logic kick panels as they come from the factory are shown below.

For component speakers, the MB Quart PSD 213 kit was chosen.  The MB Quart speakers are excellent quality, and suburb sound.  The tweeter tends to be "bright", but for a kick panel installation in a truck, this will be beneficial. 

Shown below are the completed and installed kick panels.

I constructed brackets to hold the ambient tweeters in the factory speaker locations.  The brackets also made a great place to hold the crossover components.
