Rockford Fosgate Punch Power 50.1

This Punch Power 50.1 is quite old now (1997-1998 I think), however it is still in great shape.  These amps are rated at only 50W, however they are built in the same heatsink as a Punch 200.2 of the same age.  They are known as high current or "cheater" amps, as back during this time, car audio competitions had classes based on power output, typically at 4 ohm.  You could use a Punch Power 50.1 in the 50W power class, but run it on 16 8ohm woofers (according to Rockford literature at the time) and be at a 0.5ohm load.  Under these conditions the amplifier would produce between 400 and 500 Watts of output.  With two of these amps you could link them together and get almost 1,000W into a 1 ohm load.  So, if you happen to have a single 4 ohm woofer, this amp is probably not for you as you will not get anything out of it.

This amp is is in very good condition.  It has very few scratches and scrapes.  Everything works as it should.  Another item to make note of is the gain control pot is not damaged.  Many old RF amps have trashed gain controls from people using the wrong sized screwdriver to adjust them.  When they get damaged enough they are difficult to adjust.  The gain control pot on this amp is like new.  All the terminal screws are included, and none of the terminals are stripped out.  None of the mounting feet are broken off either (common on these style of amps from people not taking their time installing them).

I would prefer not to ship this amp internationally, however if you really want it and are international, please contact me prior to bidding.
