Refurbishing a ZX950

This ZX950 was in terrible condition, so its owner sent it to me to be refurbished.  The plan called for me to get the amp back working 100% electrically, and mechanically, and then it would be sent off to Matt at Khameleon Koatings for fresh powder coat and graphics.  The following work was performed...

-Cleaned the dust dirt and grime off the cover, and bottom chassis

-Installed 4 replacement windows

-Installed 4 new mounting feet

-Repaired a few dents and bends in the sheetmetal

-Installed new reverse polarity protection diodes on the ZX500 side

-Installed a new PWM controller in the ZX500 side

-Installed new power supply MOSFETs, and gate resistors in the ZX500 side.

-Installed new LEDs in both boards

-Installed new input supply capacitors in both boards

-Removed all existing thermal paste, cleaned all heatsink components, and applied new thermal paste

-Replaced the fan on the ZX450 side

-Cleaned the speaker terminals on both boards

-Replaced missing or highly damaged speaker screws

-Cleaned the power terminals on both boards

-Cleaned the brass parts on the power terminals, and the screws

-Lightly oiled the power terminal screws

-Replaced any missing chassis screws, gold, black, or silver

-Installed brass straps on bass and gain controls of both boards to keep movement tight and smooth

-Replaced fuse on ZX450 board with correct value

-Replaced all heatsink screws with stainless steel socket head cap screws
